3 medical personnel kidnapped in Imo regain freedom

OWERRI—The three medical personnel, including the former Edo State Chairman of Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Dr. Phillip Ugbodaga, who were kidnapped recently in Imo State, have regained their freedom.
The other two kidnap victims were Mrs. Anne Usman, a Matron in the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City and Mr. Sunny Omo-Alasa, a health worker.

Photo: 5 in-traffic armed robbers arrested in Lagos


The Lagos state police Rapid Response Squad have arrested five in-traffic robbers who specialized in snatching handsets and bags from unsuspecting members of public in traffic. The suspects identified as Ajala Lateef 16, Salami Sodiq, 15, Raji Kazeem, 19, Bashiru Adeyemi, 19, and Ikechukwu Ukueje, 15, were arrested on Wednesday October 28th after they had successfully robbed their victim of her belongings.

We sell adulterated water to banks- suspects confess


A five-man syndicate that specialize in selling adulterated water to banks and other companies in Lagos have been arrested by men of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad. A statement by the police states that the suspects identified as Chukwuma Uzor, (48) and Ofonime Ikpe (44) and three of their accomplices were arrested at 3, Adesola Street, Ago-Palace Way, Okota in Lagos on Thursday October 22nd following a tip-off.
