The Lagos State Government has warned residents not to buy or consume contaminated poultry products like chicken and turkey currently in circulation in the state. Some imported poisonous poultry products were
recently seized and buried by men of the Nigeria Custom Service in Badagry but were later exhumed by some people with the intent to sell to the public. If consumed, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Toyin Suarau, said it could lead to death.
