Former Benue State governor arraigned and granted N100m bail


An Abuja Federal High Court has granted bail to Gabriel Suswam, but ordered he be held by the EFCC till he fulfills his bail conditions. He was arraigned today alongside his commissioner for finance, Omadaki Oklobia, on allegation of corruption. They are standing trial over allegations of money laundering to the tune of N3.1 billion carried out by them while Suswam was governor of Benue state.
Their international passports were ordered to be seized. The conditions of the bail include a N100 million bond, two sureties who must be senior civil servants of level 12 and above. Each surety shall swear an affidavit of means.
