Judge keeps preventing journalists from covering Davido’s dad’s divorce case

Yesterday, Justice A. O. Oguntade, of the State High Court, Ede, again sent journalists covering the divorce case between Davido’s dad, Deji Adeleke, and his estranged wife, Peju out of the court. He had on Monday done the same thing and prevented them from doing their job.

The judge asked his police orderly to escort the journalists out and the orderly handed down the order to the a senior police officer, Adeoye Yekinin, who led a team of armed policemen deployed in the court purposely for the divorce case.

Those present in court expressed surprise about the heavy presence of armed policemen. Counsel for the estranged wife, Mr. Kemi Pinheiro (SAN), however accused the judge of bias and a lawyer alleged that Davido’s dad doesn’t want publicity for the case.
