National Drug Law Enforcement Agency arrested Modinat Alake, 44, and Chizoba Mbonu, 36, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos for attempting to smuggle 4.450kg of cocaine to India and 7kg of cannabis to China, respectively.
Chizoba is a second-time offender as she was first apprehended in 2013 for attempting to export 6kg of cannabis to China. She has a pending drug case at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos. She is a 2008 graduate of Business Administration, married with two children.
