Based on the 2016 budget, 11 former Presidents, Heads of State and former Vice Presidents/Chiefs of General Staff are to share N2.3bn as entitlements in 2016.
According to the Act which provides for the remuneration for them, each former President and former Head of state is entitled to N350k per month, while former VPs and former Chiefs of General Staff are entitled to N250k per month for their up-keep. .
Also, the FG plans to spend N20bn on the Presidential Amnesty Program which include stipends and allowances of 30,000 Niger Delta Ex-militants- N7.875bn; Operational cost- N1. 834bn; Reintegration of transformed ex-militants- N10.291bn.
