Appeal Court sacks Senator “boat cruise”

Today, the Court of Appeal Saturday declared Ovie Omo-Agege, a former Secretary to the Government of Delta State and candidate of the Labour Party, winner of the March 28, 2015 Delta Central Senatorial election.

The victory of Ighoyota Amori of the PDP, which was earlier upheld by the elections petition tribunal, was nullified. The court ordered the Senate to swear Omo-Agege in immediately.

Amori, 63, got the appellation “Senator boat cruise” in August after he was spotted on high sea, partying hard with some fine fine ladies in Houston, Texas, USA. He was accused of abandoning his legislative duties to ball in the U.S.
