Xavier breaks Guinness record of baby born from the world’s oldest sperm

Alex Powell, from Australia, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 15 and was told he needed to start chemotherapy immediately, a procedure that was likely to leave him infertile. He made the decision to have his sperm frozen. Now he is celebrating his son’s first few months of life with his wife, Vi.
Xavier Powell was born on June 17, 2015, through IVF, and has now made it into the Guinness World Records after breaking the record of a baby previously conceived in the UK using sperm frozen for 21 years.
