This happened at Nquthu Taxi Rank, KZN on Tuesday. The woman in her 20s seemed to have forgotten to dress properly. She had on only her panties and white shirt. Shocked bystanders cheered whistled, but it was only when she apparently began to realize people were staring and laughing at her that she jumped into a taxi and took out a skirt from one of her bags to put on.
An eyewitness, Bongani Zondi, 29, said after she dressed herself in the taxi, she remained there looking shamefaced. But people didn’t give up. They kept taking photos and peered through the windows. They first thought she was mentally unstable, but later realized she was not.
Chairman for Nquthu Taxi Association, Mthandeni Ndlovu, confirmed the incident. He said: “We know it is summer and people are allowed to wear anything that makes them feel cool. But in Nquthu, we are not familiar with half-naked people, because we’re a rural area. Seeing that woman shocked us.”
